Greetings

Hello all
I was pointed in this direction by Amity over at Wrong Planet.
I am a clinician who works in NHS child and adolescent mental health services and specialise in community services for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
I was formally diagnosed with HFA/AS just over a year ago (ICD10 84.5) which felt like the final piece of the jigsaw re making sense of my life - and I now know that the reason I gravitated towards the kind of work that I do.
Looking forward to participating here.

There are a few of us Neurovoice with a late diagnosis...

I remember reframing my perspective on past experiences or situations after I realised that autism was the context I had been missing.
It was like a rewriting of my history.

    Welcome Velorum ☺

I know someone doing something similar to you in some NHS trust.

They are also involved in assessment albeit as an assistant/junior psychologist level.

They have said that Covid has made assessment more challenging when working over video conference.

I expect your work has also been affected.

To a degree, however as part of my work entails working with individuals and families in crises then I have carried on with a number of FTF visits each week since Covid started.
